FREE Satellite List Update August 24, 2021 Due to the several changes we are releasing a early updated Satellite / Transponder list. This list is a 'must have' for installers using older DVB-S meters. Use this list to easily look up the DVB-S transponders on any satellite. It is a good idea to check at least two transponders since many transponders are moving to DVB-S2. You will notice that DVB-S is loosing ground fast now. If you are using a old satellite meter you might consider upgrading to a DVB-S2 satellite meter. Get information about the satellite list here Get the updated list here

Wild Feeds and Backhauls Ever wonder whats on those satellites that you don't know about? There is a whole group of folks scanning the skys and reporting their findings in the same place. They don't do it for money for fame... they do it for the love of 'Free to Air Satellite Channels' and whatever their passion is. Some are looking for that big game of football or baseball or soccer, others are racing fans. All with the same goal in mind, watching that event live from their satellite feed. Not only do they watch the event but they tune in to interesting things not shown on the public feed. There are all kinds of shows and events on satellite that we normally would not know about. Need a way to load that old meter? Do you have a older meter that requires a older Windows that you don't have? Or maybe you are a Linux user (like me) and you don't have Windows at all. What do you do when you want to program or update that old meter? It's getting harder and harder to find older computers with older Windows OS. It seems Window XP always worked the best for updating meters and even for updating the TP lists. I actually keep a very old Windows XP machine for that very purpose. I've been following ReactOS and it's getting to a point where it should be very capable of solving these 'old meter' problems.

FREE Cloud Storage for Linux There is lots of FREE cloud storage available. I write this mainly for Linux users however most cloud storage services are cross platform so they do work for Windows as well. The “CLOUD” is pretty cool. You can store files there and access them from any computer regardless of where you are. As long as you have internet access you will have access to those files. The “CLOUD” is big business. Of course companies sell storage. But for me and for most businesses you need access to only a few files. There is really no need to pay for storage. Not everyone pays for cloud storage. There are several options available for free storage. Some even offer 50GB free. Most cloud storage services will also have a mobile app. With a little bit of ingenuity you can probably have all the storage you need for free. So, how do you find it? Need to copy and paste different things several times? Clipit is the answer! Have you ever used copy (Ctl+C) and paste (Ctl+V) for several different pieces of information that you want to re-use in different places? If you are a Ubuntu type Linux user Clipit makes it easy. Clipit simply keeps track of what you copied and provides a list that allows you to click on any item making it ready for you to paste it where you want it. I really like this little clipboard manager and use it on a daily basis. It also has several settings that allow you to make it work the way you want it to work.
