Need to copy and paste different things several times?
Clipit is the answer!
Have you ever used copy (Ctl+C) and paste (Ctl+V) for several different pieces of information that you want to re-use in different places?
If you are a Ubuntu type Linux user Clipit makes it easy.
Clipit simply keeps track of what you copied and provides a list that allows you to click on any item making it ready for you to paste it where you want it.
I really like this little clipboard manager and use it on a daily basis. It also has several settings that allow you to make it work the way you want it to work.
Note: ClipIt is a lightweight GTK+ clipboard manager. Clipit is for Linux users.
You can compile and install Clipit yourself (instructions) or use their PPA.
Installation is easy with this handy PPA for Ubuntu type systems:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:afelinczak/ppa
