FREE cloud storage

FREE Cloud Storage for Linux There is lots of FREE cloud storage available. I write this mainly for Linux users however most cloud storage services are cross platform so they do work for Windows as well. The “CLOUD” is pretty cool. You can store files there and access them from any computer regardless of where you are. As long as you have internet access you will have access to those files. The “CLOUD” is big business. Of course companies sell storage. But for me and for most businesses you need access to only a few files. There is really no need to pay for storage. Not everyone pays for cloud storage. There are several options available for free storage. Some even offer 50GB free. Most cloud storage services will also have a mobile app. With a little bit of ingenuity you can probably have all the storage you need for free. So, how do you find it? I have compiled a list of cloud storage services here . Feel free to check out any or all of them and decide if th

ClipIt lightweight GTK+ clipboard manager

Need to copy and paste different things several times? Clipit is the answer! Have you ever used copy (Ctl+C) and paste (Ctl+V) for several different pieces of information that you want to re-use in different places? If you are a Ubuntu type Linux user Clipit makes it easy. Clipit simply keeps track of what you copied and provides a list that allows you to click on any item making it ready for you to paste it where you want it. I really like this little clipboard manager and use it on a daily basis. It also has several settings that allow you to make it work the way you want it to work. Note: ClipIt is a lightweight GTK+ clipboard manager. Clipit is for Linux users. You can compile and install Clipit yourself (instructions) or use their PPA. Installation is easy with this handy PPA for Ubuntu type systems: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:afelinczak/ppa Get more information at the project website: https://github.com/CristianHenzel/ClipIt

Ransomware: Been hacked? Don't pay, learn how to unlock your files.

Have you been hacked? Are your files locked? Don’t pay the ransom, report the crime to the proper authorities.  “If the ransom is paid, it proves to the cyber criminals that ransomware is effective. As a result, cyber criminals will continue their activity and look for new ways to exploit systems that result in more infections and more money on their accounts,” says the No More Ransom advice. Check out Unhacked: 121 tools against ransomware on a single website The No More Ransom portal  now offers 121 free ransomware decryption tools which can decrypt 151 ransomware families. Available in 37 languages, ransomware victims around the world have used the portal to help against ransomware attacks. The website’s ‘ Crypto Sheriff ‘ allows users to upload encrypted files to help identify which form of ransomware they’ve fallen victim to, then directs them to a free decryption tool if one is available. Be smart, don’t pay criminals.

$25 a month for unlimited data on Verizon Wireless A few months ago I changed mobile phone services. I'm still on Verizon which I think is considered the best provider. Most people don't know that Verizon owns another company which it uses to compete with the low cost providers. I switched and could not be happier. It's the same service but with unlimited data and hotspot. Become a member Easily sign up, and keep your number and phone, or change both. You might even be able to activate service in less than 15 minutes through eSIM. No matter what, you’ll get unlimited data, messages, and minutes for one (really) low price. Experience our network Activate through eSIM or a Visible SIM (it’s free & we’ll overnight it), and you’re ready to experience our network, powered by Verizon, 5G included. $25/mo when you join my network One line of service Powered by Verizon, no
