How to use your old DVB-S meter

If you have a older meter that does DVB-S but not DVB-S2 you can usually still align a satellite dish.

You will need our free worldwide Satellite / Transponder list to find a DVB-S transponder on the satellite you want to align to. Aligning to a DVB-S signal will give you a good alignment to the satellite and to DVB-S2 transponders.

DVB-S2 transponders:	4550
DVB-S transponders:	2415

Keep in mind that transponders are changing over to DVB-S2 so eventually it will be hard to find DVB-S signals on some satellites. Start saving for a meter upgrade.
